Why can’t the vacuum homogenizing emulsifier run idling

The vacuum homogenizing emulsifier is a high-performance homogenizing emulsifying equipment for continuous production or circular processing of materials that need to be dispersed, emulsified, and broken. Some people may ask why the vacuum homogenizing emulsifier cannot be left idle. Give everyone a specific explanation on this issue.

The vacuum homogenizing emulsifier is a process in which one or more phases (liquid, solid and gas) are transferred to another immiscible continuous phase (usually liquid) in a high, rapid and uniform manner. The principle is that the high tangential speed generated by the high-speed rotation of the rotor and the strong kinetic energy brought by the high-frequency mechanical effect make the material subject to strong mechanical hydraulic shear, centrifugal extrusion, liquid layer friction, and impact tearing in the narrow gap between the stator and the rotor. The combined effect of cracking and turbulence forms suspension (solid/liquid), emulsion (liquid/liquid) and foam (gas/liquid).

Why can't the vacuum homogenizing emulsifier run idling

The joint of the emulsifying head stirring device and the stator on the emulsifying machine is equipped with a copper sleeve bearing or a bearing of other materials. The rotation speed of the drive shaft is generally 2800 rpm. Due to the relatively high-speed movement between the copper sleeve and the drive shaft, friction will generate very high temperatures. If there is no lubricant between the copper sleeve and the shaft, the copper sleeve and the shaft will expand due to the high temperature, thereby locking, and the copper sleeve and the shaft will be discarded. When the emulsifying head is immersed in the solution, the solution will enter the gap between the copper sleeve and the bearing, thereby providing lubrication.

This is the main reason why the vacuum homogenizing emulsifier cannot run idly. Therefore, we often see on the operating instructions or warning signs of the vacuum homogenizing emulsifier that the vacuum homogenizing emulsifier is strictly prohibited from idling. I would like to remind everyone that when the emulsifying machine is running, the material must be immersed in the emulsifying head to start the machine.
